President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni has issued a directive on how the two fallen eminent persons; former Umukuka of Bamasaba Wilson Wamimbi and former minister, Hon. Martin Aliker should be buried.
In a message issued by the Minister for the Presidency, Milly Babalanda this afternoon, 15th April, 2024, President Museveni has granted an official burial for the two deceased persons.
“His Excellency the President of the Republic of Uganda, Gen (Rtd) Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, has granted an official burial to the following recently deceased eminent persons: 1. Former Umukuka of Bamasaba Wilson Wamimbi 2. Former minister, Hon. Martin Aliker,” reads Babalanda’s statement.
Wamimbi died on Friday last week at 8.pm from Kiruddu hospital located in Kampala Capital City after battling with pneumonia for over a year while Dr. Aliker died on Monday, 15th April, 2024.
