A Police officer has been knocked dead by a speeding vehicle Reg No UBQ 016T Toyata Probox Grey in Colour.
A according to police sources, D/AIP Paul Okwakoro who has been the Regional SOCO was knocked dead this morning of Monday, 10th June, 2024 at about 1:00AM around Soroti-Moroto highway Besides Soroti Flying school.
DTO ASP Habyara Justus in the press briefing this morning said the preliminary findings indicate that deceased was walking from Campswahili Trading Centre going back to Akisim Barracks when he reached besides Soroti Flying School, the above mentioned driver who was driving UBQ 016 T A probox lost control and knocked him killing him on spot.
“A team of police officers visited the scene and we managed to arrest the driver identified as Ivan Magona, 32 year old resident of Campswahili in Soroti and he is in our Police Custody”, said Mr. Habyara.
