MBALE CITY
The Vice President of Uganda, H.E Jessica Alupo has opened a two day exhibition at the Sino Mbale Uganda Industrial Park.
The 52 operational factories at the Mbale Industrial Park are showcasing their products including electronics, clothing and textile, mattresses among others.
The Vice President during the launch on Friday, 18th October, 2024 urged Ugandans to use and buy products made from the country as a way of developing the country.
She says that for any country to grow, its citizens must buy products from within such that the tax base can increase.
Asumin Nasike, the Mbale Resident City Commissioner also praised the government for creating these industrial parks which have improved on job creation especially for the youths.
Connie Galiwango Nakayenze, the Mbale City Woman Member of Parliament says that whereas Sino Mbale Industrial Park pay meager salaries, it has helped them to sustain their lives which is better than being unemployed.
