Police has arrested five (5) teachers on allegations of cheating PLE Exams for pupils of Kisoso primary School in Masaka City.
The five including an Invigilator, Mugaga Ramathan who had been deployed at Kirinya Primary School in Masaka were arrested during the just concluded PLE Exams by the Kiira Police.
The others; Tumuhimbise Ronald, Otai Nelson, Katamba Richard and Kimanje Tom are all teachers at Kisoso Primary School, in Masaka City.
According to a UNEB statement dated 11th November, 2024, the accused were found with UNEB PLE Exams which they shared on Telegram and WhatsApp used the same to write exams for PLE candidates at Kisoro Primary School.
Kimanje is said to have received the leaked exam papers from Mugaga and shared them with his school director who is still at large.
The suspects accused all the Four PLE Exams and will be produced before the Kiira Magistrate’s Court today, 12th November, 2024.
