Shock engulfed residents of Sironko district on Thursday evening, 21st November, 2024 after discovering a naked decomposing body of an unknown person dumped at Musinga water stream.
The body was discovered at Musulwa village, Bukusege Parish, Busamaga Sub County in Sironko district when dogs had already eaten most of the parts.
According to Samuel Wabudeya, one of the area residents, the body was discovered by children who had gone for swimming.
He says that the children informed nearby locals who rushed to the scene only to find a body they couldn’t identify.
Suzan Nambozo, another area resident says that it is very hard to identify the body since it has decomposed and some body parts like private parts are missing because dogs had eaten them.
She says, someone might have killed the person and transported the body to the place because they have not lost anyone this month in their area.
Moses Maduli, the LCIII Chairperson of Busamaga Sub County says they have discovered about three unknown bodies in the area in just one month.
He says, as festive season approaches, crime is going to be high urging LC1 chairpersons to be vigilant especially about new people in their areas.
DPC Sironko, Muzoora Frank has confirmed the incident saying the body has been taken to Mbale main hospital for postmortem.
He urged anyone in Sironko and Mbale who lost his or her person in the last two weeks to report the case at nearest police station such that it can help police to identify the body.
