Gen. Salim Saleh, Chief Coordinator of Operation Wealth Creation (OWC), has expressed concerns regarding musicians flocking to Gulu for Christmas festivities and shows.
In a handwritten letter addressed to Presidential Advisor on Creatives and President of Uganda National Musicians Association dated 27th November, 2024, Gen. Saleh says the Musicians are interfering with his work and programs in Northern Uganda.
“Please handle the Musicians who are flocking to Gulu for X-mas Festivities Shows. They are interfering with my work in Northern Uganda,” Gen. Saleh writes to the leadership of Musicians in Uganda.
The OWC leadership advises all stakeholders in the creative arts especially musicians to remain mindful of their engagements and align with national priorities aimed at socio-economic transformation.
“Collaboration and mutual respect for development efforts are essential as we work towards uplifting communities across Uganda,” he writes.
