The Vice Chancellor Makerere University, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe has made public his Academic Transcripts representing an illustrious academic journey that started at Busia Integrated Primary School in 1969.
In a statement issued on Sunday, 9th February, 2025, Prof Barnabas Nawangwe says this move is occasioned by the numerous Social Media allegations that he is neither fit to be Professor nor Vice Chancellor.
Nawangwe says he was the best student in PLE in the whole Uganda and proceeded to Busoga College Mwiri for his O’Level where he again emerged the best Student Countrywide scoring 20 Aggregates in 9 subjects.
His A’Level performance was however, below par which he attributes to self- tutoring. He scored C in Mathematics, C in Physics, and a Subsidiary Pass in Chemistry. He was admitted to Makerere University to pursue a Bachelors in Civil Engineering.
He proceeded to Kiev Institute of Civil Engineering where he obtained a Master of Science Degree in Architecture in 1983. He says, he topped his class that year and he obtained a PhD from the same University in 1989.
