The Presidential Special Task-force on Land matters and Environment, State house commanded by Brig. Gen. Musa Shaban Lukyamuzi on March 24, 2025, halted the construction of a multi-million four storeyed building facility over a land dispute.
The armed special Task-force team arrested casual laborers and the site foreman and tasked them to produce the site engineer who was absent at the time of arrest.
The task-force team later counted and recorded all the building materials found at the site before releasing the casual workers whom they ordered to return to their respective residences.
In a debrief after the operation, the Presidential Taskforce team told us that they were forced to halt construction of the multi-million building facility in Katabi/Busambaga zone after Entebbe Division police Commander (SSP-Stephen Twinomugisha), Entebbe RDC Hakim Kirigwa and the District Internal Security Office (Andrew Musimenta) failed to execute an interim injunction court order issued by High Court Land Division Deputy Registrar Her worship Josephine Kabasinguzi Kayondo, refraining anyone from constructing on the disputed land on plot 27 belonging to Rose Namukasa, the administrator of the estate of the late Musubika Sesiriya.
The interim injunction court order came after Rose Namukasa filed a case against Isaac Simbwa, Namutumba Construction company Geo Oils (u) Ltd and the commissioner Land Registration, on accusation of trespass and issuance of illegal land title land on the disputed piece of land.
