JUST IN! Police Release Video Recording of Man Suspected of Killing Entebbe Couple

Police has released a video recording of a man highly suspected of carrying out the double murder of Entebbe couple on Sunday July 6, 2025.

 

Addressing the media on Monday, 21st July, 2025, the Police Spokesperson, ACP Kituuma Rusoke played the recording with a clear audio output.

 

In the audio, the suspect is heard calling the deceased, Matugga complaining that he is at home suffering because he has not gone to school, and calling him to open the gate.

 

“On Sunday July 6, 2025, we registered the murder of Mr. Mutaaga David and his wife, Deborah Florence Mutaaga in Entebbe. In collaboration with other security agencies, the police are actively searching for the suspects and gathering evidence,” says Rusoke.

 

He adds urges anyone who recognizes the suspect’s voice to inform help so he can be identified.

 

This publication had earlier written that the killer is suspected to be a close family relative, the reason the children of the deceased feared to come to Uganda for their parents’ burial.

 

The couple was laid to rest on 12th July, 2025 at Nalagabi/Budo village in Wakiso district albeit without attendance of their two children who are abroad

 

Police has also placed a bounty of Shs50M to anyone who provides information leading to the suspect’s apprehension.
