The Butaleja district LCV Chairman has reshuffled his Executive Committee members barely six months to the 2026 General elections.
Michael Higenyi Bore made the changes in a Special Council sitting on Monday, 1st September, 2025 with himself taking up the position of Secretary Production.
Joseph Pulisi Habaya, who has been the Deputy Speaker of Butaleja district was elevated to Vice Chairperson, replacing Moses Hiire commonly known as “Brown”, who was assigned as Secretary for Works.
Fred Talugende, district councillor for Butaleja town council, is the new deputy speaker, replacing Habaya who is the vice Chairperson now.
Meanwhile, Rose Namuyanda Nasuga, retained the position of Secretary for Education and Health as Moses Mudehere, councillor for Busolwe Sub County, retained the position of Secretary for Finance.
Namuyanda thanked the LCV chairperson and the entire council for having entrusted her and urged executive members to support Higenyi’s candidature again for the position of LCV.
Higenyi expressed his happiness saying reshuffles are normal and for effective service to the people.
