Hon Medard Ssegona, the incumbent Member of Parliament for Busiro East has quit the National Unity Platform, (NUP) Party after the Party handed the Flag to Musician Mathias Walukagga in a provisional list released on Monday, 29th September, 2025.
Without divulging details, the Democratic Front of Mathias Mpuuga unveiled a poster on Tuesday, 30th September, 2025 indicating that Ssegona is now their Flagbearer for Busiro East.
This development marks a quick shift in Political Party Alliances ahead of the 2026 General Elections especially with seasoned politicians leaving NUP.
Ssegona joins Abed Bwanika, Entebbe Municipality’s Michael Kakembo, and Masaka City Woman MP Juliet Nakabuye Kakande.
