According to Mugisha Geoffrey, Town Clerk Industrial City Division, the suspects were arrested on Wednesday March 11 2026 by Mbale City Council enforcement officers while illegally loading passengers along Pallisa Road in an ungazetted area.

Mugisha told the media that several drivers were arrested during the ongoing enforcement exercise.
