Hajjat Hadijah Namyalo Uzeiye serving as the Head of the Office of the National Chairman (ONC) of the National Resistance Movement (NRM) has sent social media abuzz with Shs200M car gift to her son.
The video that has gone viral shows the 5 year old Rayan seated atop the Brand new JETOUR car valued at between Shs200-300M during his fifth birthday celebrations held at the mother’s posh home.
The video has however, attracted criticism from Netizens who are accusing Namyalo of alleged corruption since she splashing all this money barely two months after the Presidential elections where she managed quite a big chunk of campaign funds.
“Ugandans, especially those who are struggling and those fighting corruption, this is to let you know that Uzeiye Hadijah Namyalo, the Head of the Office of the National Chairman, has bought her son, Rayan, a brand-new Jetour T2 worth $60,000 (UGX 230 million). And her monthly salary cannot even buy a brand new motorcycle,” laments Frank Mwesigye, a senior PLU member on his X-Account.
The media buzz follows recent photos showing Namyalo’s multi-million mansion, all coming at the heels of the recent elections.
If we are truly committed to fighting corruption in Uganda, then we must apply the same standards to everyone especially those in positions of power and public trust.

“Today, it is alleged that @ChiefMuzzukulu , Manager of the Office of the National Chairman, gifted her son a brand new Jetour T2 SUV reportedly worth UGX 230 million. While parents have the right to provide for their children, the scale of this gift raises serious questions when weighed against known public salaries and the mandate of her office.
The @Onc_nrm1 handles significant public resources and mobilization efforts. Ugandans have every right to demand transparency: Where did the funds for this vehicle truly come from? Has there been proper declaration of assets and sources of income as required by law?
@CID1_UG and the Inspector General of Government should treat this matter with the seriousness it deserves.”
