A man, yet to be identified has been killed by a mob in Paloto ‘A’ Zone, Magola Sub County, Tororo District after being caught with a suspected stolen bull belonging to one of the area residents.
According to IP Moses Mugwe, Mugwe the Bukedi South region police spokesperson, the deceased was assaulted and fatally injured by the mob around 11:00PM on Wednesday, 30th April, 2026 when he was got with a bull belonging to Owere Richard.
The incident was reported to Magola Sub County Police Station, vide Magola SD/CRR and subsequently registered at Tororo Central Police Station and investigations are ongoing.
He says Police have collected evidence and recorded statements from witnesses. The body is at Tororo Municipal Mortuary pending post-mortem examination.
Authorities are urging the public to avoid taking the law into their own hands and instead report such matters to police for proper handling.
