Tororo Cement Limited has boosted Tororo Police Football Club’s campaign in the 5th Division tournament with a donation of new sporting kits, cementing its reputation as a key supporter of local sports.

The company handed over pairs of jerseys and football boots on Monday afternoon, 4th May, 2026 at Tororo Police Station as part of its Corporate Social Responsibility program.

Assistant Marketing Officer, Lawrence Wamale, who delivered the gear on behalf of Tororo Cement, said the company is passionate about sports and community development.

“We believe in empowering talent through sport. This is our way of standing with the men and women who keep Tororo safe,” Wamale said.

The kits were received by newly posted District Police Commander Martin Karekyezi and Officer in Charge of Station Kelly Kaigwa.

Karekyezi commended Tororo Cement for its consistent support to the police force, saying the donation would not be taken for granted.

“We are grateful to Tororo Cement for walking with us. To the players, I say: work hard and put these kits to proper use. Let us excel in the ongoing 5th Division tournament,” Karekyezi said.

Tororo Police FC currently tops the Tororo District league table and is among the favorites to win this year’s 5th Division title.

Tororo Cement has a long history of backing sports and community projects in the district, ranging from schools’ athletics to district tournaments.
