The Ministry of Health has confirmed two more cases of Ebola bringing the total now to 9 including one fatality.
According to a press release dated today, Friday, May 29, 2026 by the Ministry’s Director General Health Services, Prof Olaro Charles, both cases are of Congolese origin.
Dr. Olaro says the latest case showed symptoms of the deadly Ebola disease and was quickly isolated all contacts have been identified and are under close follow up.
He adds that the other case was an earlier contact who had been under monitoring.
