COURT UPDATE: Rev. Fr. Alinga Denies Murdering Ex-URA Employee

Rev. Fr. Dominic Alinga, in his plea before Entebbe High Court has denied two counts including; murdering the former employee of Uganda Revenue Authority (URA), John Bosco Ngorok and attempted murder of Abigaba Mugisha a boda Boda rider in Kotoro trading center . He allegedly committed the offenses in August 2024 in Entebbe Municipality.

 

While appearing before Lady Justice Flavia Nabakooza on July 7, 2026, for plea taking, Rev. Fr Alinga told court that he has no hand in the two counts imposed against him which include murder and attempted murder contrary to sections 171 and 172 of the Penal Code Act and section 187, cap 128 respectively.

 

Prosecution told court that on August 3, 2024, while in Kotoro town in Entebbe Municipality, Rev Fr Dominic Alinga, unlawfully murdered John Bosco Ngorok.

 

Prosecution also alleges that on the same day, Rev Fr Dominic Alinga, unlawfully attempted to cause the death of Abigaba Mugisha, a boda boda rider.

 

Meanwhile, Lady Justice Nabakooza adjourned court to July 23, 2026 for further hearing and also ordered the defence team to provide feedback to the prosecution on the results of the traditional reconciliation talks before the next court session.
