Bubutu Secondary School in Namisindwa District has acquired a new 67-seater school bus, a major milestone expected to ease transportation challenges and improve the institution’s operations.
The bus that was delivered to the school on Friday, 7th August, 2026 was procured through the leadership of the school’s Head Teacher, Mr. Kimono Paul, with support from the Board of Governors, Parent-Teacher Association (PTA), teaching staff and students.
The acquisition has generated excitement among students, staff and members of the surrounding community, who have welcomed the development as a sign of progressive leadership and effective teamwork at the school.
Bubutu Secondary School is reportedly the first Universal Secondary Education (USE) school in Namisindwa District to acquire a school bus within such a short period after Mr. Kimono took over as Head Teacher.
The development has been hailed as evidence of the administration’s commitment to improving the learning environment and introducing facilities that benefit both students and the wider community.
The 67-seater bus will primarily be used to transport students and staff, while also supporting selected community activities, making it an important addition to the school’s resources.
The school community has applauded Mr. Kimono and the various stakeholders for working together to achieve the milestone, describing the acquisition as a reflection of purposeful leadership, accountability and a shared commitment to the growth of Bubutu Secondary School.
The new bus is expected to improve students’ access to educational trips, sports activities and other school programmes while reducing the institution’s reliance on hired transport.
