The State House Anti-Corruption Unit has paraded before court a Luweero man for allegedly forging a title for land belonging to a deceased person and selling it.

Jjingo Denis appeared before the Luweero Chief Magistrate’s Court on charges of fraudulent procurement of a Certificate of Title and intermeddling with the estate of a deceased person on Monday, 24th August, 2026. He has been remanded till September 1st, 2026

It is alleged that between 2003 and 2004, at Kakira Kibanga in Luweero District, Jingo, without lawful authority from the Administrator General or any other authorised administrator, unlawfully intermeddled with the estate of the late Isaya Basenge.

The estate included approximately 100 acres of land comprised in Bulemezi Block 554, Plot 7, at Kakira in Luweero District. Jingo allegedly fraudulently represented himself as the administrator of the estate and, together with others still at large, procured a Certificate of Title for the land.

It is further alleged that Jjingo together with others at large subsequently sold the land to other parties who are forcefully evicting occupants from the land and destroying their property.
