The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government has directed the Chief Administrative Officer, (CAO) of Masindi District to interdict five officers.
In a letter dated Wednesday, October 14, 2026, Ben Kumumanya wants Engineer Joseph Sunday-District Engineer, Fred David Sebuguzi-District Production Officer, Angella Nyandera-Secretary District Service Commission, Alfred Ochieng-District Water Officer and Patience Ayesiga-CDO Kimengo Sub County interdicted with immediate effect.
The instruction to interdict follows Local Minister, Balaam Baruhagara’s “Expose The Corrupt,” meeting held at the district on 7th October, 2026.
The P/S says during the meeting, a number of issues were raised against the affected officials including gross negligence of duty, abuse of office, mismanagement of public resources and possible financial impropriety.
The interdiction is to pave way for the State House Anti-Corruption Unit and other State Agencies to carry out thorough investigations.
