A renowned Music Producer in Lira City has committed suicide by hanging inside a residential house he had been renting.
According to a Police report, Lolo Sam, who was resident of Wigweng Cell, Baragole Ward, Lira City, Lira City West Division took his life in the early hours of Friday, 16th October 2026.
It is alleged that on the early morning of that fateful day, the deceased identified as Lolo Sam music producer was seen in Wigweng Cell dressed smartly in a brown African wear while handling a white rope. Residents who saw him did not realize his intention.
It is further alleged that he later hanged himself inside his residential house.
The incident came to light in the afternoon and was reported to Police at around 4:30PM by LC1 Eyera Tonny. Police responded immediately and visited the scene at around 5:00pm. By that time, a large crowd of residents had gathered at the scene.
Police say, they found the body found inside the house with a rope around the neck with no signs of struggle observed at preliminary examination.
Body conveyed to Lira Regional Referral Hospital Mortuary for postmortem examination. However, inquiries are ongoing to establish the motive since no suicide note was recovered.
