Top rising Teso’s song writer and singer, Rody Gavana of the wakanda ent has won the Janzi Award under the best outstanding eastern artist of the year.
Gavana was competing with two artists who included Karah Gloria, a singer from Teso Sub Region and Lanisha Jovia from Mbale City.
With his song “come to daddy” Rody Gavana was able to see himself carry the Janzi accolade from Kololo Independence Grounds in a ceremony graced by different top national singers.
Rody Gavana thanked his fans for always believing in him from the year 2018 and promised them bigger projects and collabos come 2022.
“I knew I was going to win as results were always displayed and I managed to get votes from different social media platforms like Whatsapp,Twitter and others” Rody Gavana told this website.
Meanwhile singer Karah Gloria who was nominated together with Rody Gavana in the same category, posted on her wall thanking Rody Gavana for the great victory and putting Teso at the front.
“I also want to take this chance to thank everyone who supported and voted for me, thanks for the love and support, I love you Karah fans and support system, you are the reason I will work harder to make you proud.” She posted before adding;
“I also want to thank my manager for her endless support and believe in me, Jozelha Akaliait thank you so much my people for believing in me. I love you so much” the singer posted on her wall as fans congratulated her.
