MBALE CITY
Police in Mbale city has started investigating circumstances under which a suspected 60 year old man was discovered dead in Oxygen hotel room located in Senior Quarter’s, industrial city division in Mbale city.
According to Rogers Taitika, the Elgon region police spokesperson, the body was discovered today in the room with unknown liquid substances.
He adds that police have taken samples of the liquids to test so that they can identify what caused his death.
Taitika also says that the body has been taken to Mbale city mortuary for postmortem.
He urged hotel owners to always take particulars of their clients such that it can become easy for them to carry out investigation and identification in case of any problem.
However one of the staff members at Oxygen hotel who preferred anonymity says that the deceased was sick before entering the hotel.
He also told this website that the yet to be identified man checked in at the hotel yesterday, 17th June, 2022 only to be found dead by one of the Hotel workers this morning.
