Zaituni Zawedde was announced dead two hours after she spoke to her sister in Uganda.
In 2019, Zaituni left her Busense village, Kimanya-Kabonera in Masaka City to look for greener pastures in Saudi Arabia.
Her trip was facilitated by Forbes Enterprises Limited, a Labour Exporting Company. Forbes had secured for Zaituni a two year contract as a domestic worker (House girl).
Her sister, Nuru Nanteza says she spoke to Zaituni on the 20th of January 2022 at about 2:00PM. However, two hours later, she received a call from Zaituni’s employers that her sister had died.
