Hon. Adoa Congratulates Rt. Hon. Anita Among Upon Her Election as Speaker of Parliament

The Minister of State for Fisheries, Hon. Hellen Adoa has congratulated the Rt. Honorable Anita Among Upon her landslide election as Speaker of Parliament.

Speaking from Dar-es-Salaam where she is currently attending an Agriculture and Food Security meeting, Adoa says she is overwhelmed with joy over what she calls ‘my sister’s victory.”

“On behalf of the people of Serere district whom I represent in Parliament, the People of Teso and on my own behalf, allow me Rt. Hon. Anita Among congratulate you upon your deserved victory. I wish you all the best.” Adoa’s congratulatory message reads in part.

Adoa says that although she was not in Kololo Independence Grounds to cast her vote for her sister, she was with her in spirit all the way.

“Anita has made the people of Teso very proud,” Adoa says.
