BUKEDEA
A fatal motor accident involving Motorcycle Reg No UBC 143J and Super Custom Reg No UAP 702 W has claimed the life of one person and injuring three others.
The accident occurred this morning 12th, Sept 2022 in Ocuma Otialuk village along Soroti- Mbale high way.
Police identified the deceased as Ambrose Orwangu, a motorcycle rider who died on spot. Among the injured is Jafar Kabam the Super Custom driver. The other two are not yet identified.
Police in Bukedea central police station say the two experienced head on collision with the motorcycle riding carrying two passengers heading to the direction of Soroti while the super custom driver was heading to Mbale.
“We want to confirm that in this fatal accident, one died on spot and other three are in critical condition,” said Police in a statement.
Adiga Akangwasha, the district police commander Bukedea said, three people who are in critical condition were rushed to Bukedea health center IV.
“We failed to know the particulars of the other two and all their residencies are not yet known,” said DPC.
According to the police findings, the driver of the super custom was in the wrong lane since he knocked the motorcycle on his side while driving.
Meanwhile, the motorcycle got burnt instantly and both wreckages were taken to Bukedea central police station.
