The state minister for defence Jacob Markson Oboth has come to defend the iron sheets he is reported to have picked from the office of the prime minister and used to roof a church in Mulanda Sub County.
Oboth while speaking to this website in an interview this morning, 3rd March, 2023 revealed that he wrote a series of letters to the office of the Prime Minister requesting for the purportedly stolen iron sheets of which the prime minister responded.
He noted that the iron sheets received were for Muwafu primary school, roofing a church in Mulanda and he equally wrote Utro primary school
Oboth with emotions revealed that none of the iron sheets has ever stepped his compound and he can never use something meant for the general public in his house because it’s a source of curse to both him and his family.
He then asked the people of Tororo to pray for him in these trying times because whatever is being vindicated for is because of his love for development in Tororo.
Currently a group of ministers and key government officials are being accused of diverting the iron sheet meant for relief in Karamoja sub region for their personal interest including the minister in charge of Karamoja whose relatives were got selling the iron sheets.
