Hoima LCV Chairman, Escort Perish in Fatal Motor Accident

Uganda police has issued a statement explaining how a fatal motor accident claimed the lives of Hoima Local Council Five Chairman and escort.


The Hoima LCV Chairman, Kirungi Kadiri and his escort, Police Constable Otim Bosco died on the spot in yesterday’s accident that occurred at Mataagi village, Bukomero Town council along Kampala – Hoima highway in Kiboga District at about 10:00PM.


According to ASP Faridah Nampiima, the PRO Police Traffic and Road Safety Directorate, the accident involved motor vehicle registration number UAH 053Q (Prado Land Cruiser) being driven by the LCV Chairman and UBB 059Z (Fuso fighter).


Nampiima says preliminary investigations show that the Fuso driver, (not yet identified) driving from Kampala to Kiboga side on reaching Mataagi bridge, tried to dodge a pothole making the vehicle to swerve off from its Lane onto it’s right hand side meeting the Prado head on.


“The bodies of the deceased were conveyed to Kiboga hospital mortuary for postmortem examination,” Nampiima says.
