A man has been killed by his brother and wife after he accused them of stealing matooke from his garden.
According to ACP, Fred Enanga, the Police Mouthpiece, Rugarambi Bazirio met his death on Monday, 13th November, 2023 at the hands of his younger brother, Emmanuel Wasswa, 28 and wife Oliver Nabyesero aged 24 years.
The suspects who have been arrested and the deceased are all residents of Lwembogo” B,” Lwebitakuli sub-county, Masaka District.
He said the grim event occurred when the victim confronted the suspects about the continuous theft of matooke from his plantation.
“Instead of addressing the issue, the suspects allegedly assaulted him to death,” Enanga said.
He said the community is left grappling with the tragic outcome of a dispute that turned deadly within the confines of neighborly relations.
