The Ibanda District Security Committee has banned all overnight activities in the district over increased ADF attacks in the region.
The directive was issued on the 20th December, 2023 by the Resident District Commissioner, Ibanda, who is also the Chairperson of the district’s security committee.
The RDC, Tutaikiriza Caleb has ordered all security agencies in the district to ensure that night prayers, discos, Karaokes, Shows and Night Clubs do not to take place in the district until further notice.
The RDC’s communication follows the ADF attack on Kamwenge which neighbors Ibanda where 10 people lost lives and 6 of those were from Ibanda district.
The temporary ban without an expiry date means residents of Ibanda are going to have a lousy Festive Season.
