Unknown thugs on the night of Wednesday, 10th April, 2024 broke into 8 Luwero district offices making off with various office equipment.
According to the Police Spokesperson Savannah Region, ASP Twiineamazima Sam, the offices broken into are for the Resident District Commissioner, Chief Administrative Officer, Planning Department Office, Human Resource Management, Deputy CAO, Probation Office, Communications Office and Chairperson LC 5.
He says the following office equipment was stolen; CAO’s office- computer and CPU, Principal Human Resource (computer,), Communications office- camera and computer, Planning Department Office- Laptop for statician.
Probation Office-Two CPU’s and Two monitors, Office chairperson LC 5- Nothing taken, RDC’s Office- His personal sales agreement for the home and Secretary to Rdc’s office-CPU, monitor and key board.
Twiineamazima says that preliminary information indicates that on 11/4/2024, at about 7:00AM at luwero district local government headquarter offices, Katongole James Joel, an office attendant reported for work and found many doors of the district offices open.
It was unusual for him because no one was there to open for them since it was not yet time for the occupants of those offices to arrive for work, finding this strange, he reported to police.
“Our Police CCTV analysts and District ICT officer have retrieved some footage for analysis,” he says.
He says that two private security guards were found unconscious at the scene suspected to have been chlorofomed were rushed to luwero hospital for treatment and examination.
“The dog was introduced to the scene and led detectives to a place where the suspects are believed to have boarded boda boda with stolen properties,” he says.
