Over 20 miss UBTEB Semester Exams in UMCAT Soroti Campus

A total of over 20 students out of 180 have missed to sit for the UBTEB semester examinations in UMCAT school of Journalism and Mass communication, Tom Okello the academic registrar has confirmed.

 

Speaking to this publication, on Monday, 13th May, 2024, Okello said these students have not completed paying their tuition adding that they have been sympathizing with defaulters and allowing them sit for examinations.

 

He revealed that the main campus at Kampala has changed fees policies and directed them not to sit candidates with balances.

 

He notes that this number cuts across both courses that include Journalism, secretarial, Records keeping and Management, Public administration, Business admin among others.

 

Okello says they are directed at least to give examinations to candidates with less than Shs100,000 balance adding that those who have missed the exam will sit in the next semester exams that will be held in December, 2024.

 

This exam started on Monday, 13th May, 2024 and is expected to run for two weeks country wide.

 

Okello urges parents to be very vigilant in paying school fees in the next semester so that this doesn’t happen again.
