A suspect has committed suicide by hanging inside a police cell in Kisoko Police Post, kisoko Sub County in Tororo district ejaculating in the process.
According to the South Bukedi Region Police Spokesperson, IP Johnson Mugwe, Oketch Lawrence, aged 26 years, a peasant Japadhola and resident of Dida Zone, Kisoko Kisoko Sub-County, Tororo District took his own life on 29th May, 2024 at about 3:50PM.
Oketch had earlier been arrested on the 27th May on allegations of theft Vide Kisoko SD Ref. 06/12/05/2024 and consequently detained.
The Investigations were constituted and revealed that, he (now deceased) knew the whereabouts of the matter/ exhibits hence he was detained pending further interactions.
“But when the male Cells guard went for him so that he leads the Police Officers to recover the exhibits, he found the suspect was hanging on the metallic door on a piece of his own cloth tied on the metallic door,” says Mugwe.
“Furthermore, the deceased was found having bitten his tongue, bled through the nose, there was semen from the penis and he had defecated on himself,” adds Mugwe.
The Scene of crime was visited by a Coroner, SOCO, homicide detectives, CI and the District CID Officer, Commanded by DPC Tororo.
The Body of the deceased was removed and taken to Mbale City Mortuary pending postmortem.
