MBALE CITY: Former Parliamentary Aspirant Defiles P.6 Pupil of His School, Arrested

Police on Sunday, July 7, 2024 said they have arrested a school director in his 40’s on allegations of defiling a 15 year old girl, a pupil at the school where he is a director.

 

The director of Model Nursery Primary School and former MP aspirant for Northern city division on independent ticket, Mr Jackson Aryampa has been arrested on charges of defilement contrary to Section 129 (1) of the penal code.

 

Aryampa who is alleged to have defiled the primary Six Pupil is currently detained at Nakaloke police station in Northern City Division, Mbale City

 

According to police, the parents of the defiled girl rushed to Nakaloke police station and filed a complaint after receiving information that the sex pest director has been sexually abusing their daughter.

 

According to the statement made by the girl whose identity has been withheld, Aryampa tricked her into having sex with him.

 

The Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Mr Rogers Taitika confirmed the arrest saying police is still investigating the occurrence of the alleged incidents.

 

“The suspect has since been taken to the Hospital for medical analysis as well as the girl and the tests are still ongoing,” says Taitika.

 

He also revealed that the file is pending submission for sanctioning, and that the suspect will face charges as determined by the prosecution.

 

Model Nursery and Primary School is located in Nakaloke, Mbale Northern city division.

 

In 2023, the Ministry of Education together with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) released a report indicating that 78% of school going girls are sexually abused at school.
