Masaba cultural institution over the weekend officially released the circumcision calendar road map for December, 2024.
The institution has two circumcision periods, one for August for non-school going children and one of December for school going children.
According to Wilson Watira, the chairperson of Imbalu at Masaba cultural institution, the circumcision will be at Mbale city on 10th December, Mbale district on 11th, Manafwa district on 12th, Namisindwa on 13th, Bududa on 14th, 16th at Sironko district before ending with Bulambuli on 17th.
He says that after Bulambuli district, they don’t expect any person to carry out circumcision in Bugisu because it will be illegal.
Stephen Masiga, the public relations officer of Masaba cultural institution, has urged the Bamasaba to respect this calendar and follow it.
He warned the Kadodi dancers against dancing on main roads saying they will be crushed by speeding vehicles.
