A sudden and unexpected swarm of bees have attacked individuals within the compound of Campswahili Police Station in Moroto Municipality.
According to Patrick Onyango, Kampala Metropolitan Police Deputy Spokesperson, the attack occurred on Tuesday, 14th January, 2025
He says the bees injured three people including one suspect in custody and two others who were unable to escape the swarm.
On the same day, a swarm of bees suddenly invaded Abim Magistrate’s courtroom causing widespread panic chaos.
Onyango revealed that the bees attacked court staff, prison & police officers, litigants, remandees, and suspects, forcing everyone to scramble for safety.
In the ensuing chaos, Onyango says 12 prisoners on remand and seven suspects temporarily escaped meaning they were rearrested shortly afterwards.
