Minister of State for Youth and Children Affairs, Dr. Balaam Barugahara Ateenyi has broken silence over missing late Ssegirinya’s daughter.

Barugahara is responding to a video circulating on Social Media with Sharifa Nagirinya’s mother is crying saying she last saw her daughter on the day of burial of the former Kawempe North Legislator.

According to Mama Nagirinya, Ssegiriniya’s former driver identified as Kasaga is the one who took her daughter without her knowledge nor permission. In the video, she wants her daughter returned before 26th January, 2025.

In an X.com message posted on Thursday, 22nd January, 2025, Barugahara has given Kasaga on 48 hours to contact Mama Nagirinya to discuss and agree on child custody arrangements.

The Minister says that it is essential to prioritize the mother’s rights and the child’s well-being, as the law emphasizes the importance of a minor receiving love and care from both parents.

“Additionally, ensure you reach an understanding with all mothers of late Hon. Segirinya’s children before taking any further action,” warns the Minister.

He however, says Kasaga’s support for his former boss and friend’s children is appreciated, and he encourages him to continue prioritizing their welfare.
