The Former Woman Member of Parliament for Sironko District, and member of Opposition Forum for Democratic Change (FDC), Femiar Wadada has crossed to NRM.

This was revealed by the NRM National Vice Chairperson Eastern, Capt Mike Mukula in a brief message on X today, Wednesday, 12th February, 2025.

Wadada who represented Sironko in Parliament between 2011 to 2016 lost to Independent but NRM leaning Florence Nambozo in the 2021 elections.

Immediately after the 2021 elections, the Sironko District NRM Party Chairman accused FDC’s Nathan Nandala of supporting Nambozo against NRM’s Flagbearer, Asha Nabulo and in effect abandoning his own Wadada.

“I was exceedingly humbled to receive Hon FEMI WADADA former woman MP for SIRONKO DISTRICT (FDC) 2011/ 2016 who has officially crossed over to NRM and was accompanied by Senior CADRE MATSYESYE,” writes Capt. Mukula.
