Former Inspector General of Police, John Cossy Odomel has passed on today, Tuesday, 18th February, 2025.
The sad news was broken by Flight Captain, Mike Mukula on his X-Handle saying, “I am deeply saddened to announce the demise of our Patriot and former inspector general of police (IGP) JOHN COSSY ODOMEL (RIP) who has just passed on ….Further details to follow.”
John Cossy Odomel, who was the second last none-military IGP between 1992 and 1998, having joined the police force in 1980.
Odomel follows his wife, Mary Magdalene Odomel who died last year in 2025.
