MBALE CITY
Police in Mbale City have launched a manhunt for three suspects believed to be behind the gruesome killing of Pascal Busolwe, 60, whose body was discovered in a bush on the night of Wednesday, February 19, 2025 with a goat tied to his legs.
The suspects, identified as Peter Wagisha, Sam Mazanga, and another man known only as Patrick, are on the run.
The trio, who are Busolwe’s relatives, are accused of murdering him over allegations of goat theft. Busolwe, a resident of Aisha Teko Cell, Namagumba Ward, Northern City Division, is believed to have been beaten to death before his body was dumped.
Aisha Nandudu, a resident of Aisha Teko claimed that unknown individuals attacked Busolwe, while Peter Wodeya, another resident, linked the killing to a dispute over a goat belonging to Wagisha.
Police have transferred Busolwe’s body to Mbale City Mortuary for a postmortem examination.
Elgon Region Police Spokesperson, Rogers Taitika confirmed the ongoing investigations and urged the public to provide any information that could lead to the arrest of the suspects.
