President Yoweri Kaguta Museveni, also National Chairman NRM Party has appointed Hon. Fred Jachan Omach Vice Chairman of the NRM Electoral Commission.
Jachan Omach was born in WestNile on the 16th of April 1953, and attended St. Aloysius College Nyapea, in present-day Zombo District, for his O-Level. He once served as Minister of State for Finance and Economic Development.
He will be deputizing long time NRM EC Chairman, Prof. Tanga Odoi who was re-appointed for third Kisanja. Omach replaces Arimpa Kikyagi.
The duo will now be responsible for conducting NRM Party primary elections due mid this year ahead of the General elections in 2026.
