A disturbing incident of aggravated defilement has been reported at Pallisa Police Station, involving a 16-year-old female student at Komolo Akadot Seed Secondary School.
The victim, Jenifer Ayupo Gladys, alleged that she was defiled by Julius Obirangore Lazarus, a 41-year-old primary teacher at Komolo Akadot Primary School, who is also her father-in-law and caretaker but on the run currently.
According to Moses Kitiyo Mwanga, the Bukedi North police commander, the incident occurred on March 29, 2025, at around 6:00 pm at Akadot Trading Center in Pallisa District. The suspect allegedly called the victim to his bedroom to hand him a torch, whereupon he grabbed and defiled her.
He says the victim reported the incident to her mother, Janet Anyait Norah, who filed a report at Pallisa Police Station on March 31, 2025. Police investigations are ongoing, with the scene visited and documented, and the victim undergoing medical examinations.
Mwanga says preliminary findings indicate that the victim was indeed defiled by the suspect, who, as her caretaker and a teacher, committed aggravated defilement. The case is currently under investigation, with inquiries ongoing.
