A renowned land dealer in Mukono has been arrested and arraigned before the Grade 1 Magistrates Court in Nakifuma on charges of forcible entry and conspiracy to commit an offence.
Kityo Seruma Green Way Edward and Kazibwe Yusufu were charged today, Wednesday, April 09, 2025, on offences dating back to 2020.
According to the State House Anti-Corruption Unit, the accused and others still at large, between 2020 and 2023, violently entered the kibanja (land) belonging to Kamundu Martin in Nakasajja Village, Kyampisi sub-county, Mukono district and destroyed property, trees and crops with the intent of taking possession of it.
They went ahead and conspired with one of the administrators of the land, subdivided into plots and sold it to different persons.
They have been remanded until April 28, 2025.
