The State Minister for Investment and Privatization, Evelyn Anite, has dropped a political bombshell, announcing she’s out of the 2026 elections, and the whispers behind her dramatic exit are nothing short of explosive.

The once-fiery West Nile-Koboko iron lady recently cited “frustrations” during her last campaign. But insiders claim the truth runs much deeper and darker.

Sources inside the State House have spilled the beans, revealing that Minister Anite is planning a quiet political funeral, fully aware of the storm clouds gathering above her once-promising political career.

Her shocking defeat by Dr. Charles Ayume in 2021 was just the beginning of what insiders now call her “fall from grace,” and she is strategically planning a calculated scapegoat.

Anite, married to Allan Kajik, currently the acting head of Uganda’s mission in Ottawa, is allegedly plotting to permanently settle in Canada once she’s dropped from Cabinet.

A highly placed security source revealed that Anite has silently been battling mounting allegations of corruption, shady investor dealings, and diplomatic embarrassment.

The source revealed that a shocking dossier that exposed Anite as part of a racket fleecing foreign investors was few months ago delivered directly to President Museveni.

Minister Anite is on record to have been at no ease with top managers at the Uganda Investment Authority, faulting the team unfairly.

It should be recalled that in the same last year, the British High Commission publicly denied Anite’s claims of meetings over a major investment deal in Namanve. In a strongly worded note dated July 31, 2024, British officials slammed the brakes on her version of events:

“Neither the British High Commissioner nor UK Export Finance met with Anite to discuss the KIBP project.”

That statement sent shockwaves through Kampala’s corridors of power, and Museveni was shocked to note that his once trusted youthful minister was involved in such unrealistic diplomatic embarrassment.

Back in her home turf, Anita’s name is reportedly mud and politically blunt, something that could have influenced decision to quit elective politics in 2026.

Intelligence sources say a powerful NRM faction has blacklisted her over “unwanted character traits.” She allegedly withdrew donations she had made to constituents after her 2021 defeat, a move seen as petty and vindictive.

Meanwhile, in Ottawa, husband Allan Kajik is facing a storm of his own, with key business at the embassy facing acute frustration and rejections from many Ugandans and staff at the mission.

Kajik now allegedly runs Uganda’s embassy like his personal kingdom, holding three powerful positions including the acting Head of Mission, Deputy Head of Mission, and Accounting Officer-three in one position, like God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit.

Another intelligence dossier confirmed that within months, the couple reportedly acquired a multimillion-dollar property in Canada, raising eyebrows over the source of their wealth.

Sources say Anite is quietly preparing to seek asylum, joining Kajik in what many are calling a carefully planned political exile.

With her influence fading fast, Anite, once a key voice of the “Museveni Bazukulu generation,” a group that now finds her character weird and disgusting to associate with, is now the subject of whispers, allegations, and diplomatic facepalms.
