Businessman and Honorary Consul of Eswatini in Uganda, Quilino Bamwine has been Knifed by the Kingdom of Eswatini on accusations of fraud and illegal land dealings.

The letter dated October 31, 2025, authored by Eswatini’s Ambassador and Permanent Representative to the African Union, Mr. Mahlaba A. Mamba, states that the Southern African State revoked the appointment of Bamwine as it’s Consul in Uganda after he failed to respond to earlier warnings served to him.

In his assertion, Mr. Mamba says troubled Bamwine declined to comply to warnings of the alleged illegal activities despite repeated interventions by Ugandan authorities which has since attracted additional allegations of serious misconduct including extortion, fraud, and other criminal activities.

“Of particular concern are reports implicating you in a land transaction that appears to constitute a criminal act. The Embassy has been left with no option but to report your alleged misconduct to the relevant authorities,” reads part of the termination letter.

“Eswatini’s government has advised that we revoke your appointment as Honorary Consul with immediate effect,” reads the letter.
