At least five people including the head teacher of Angodingod Primary School, Julius Okwaput, chief invigilator, four invigilators and three minors were on Tuesday, 04th November were arrested 2025 at around 12:00 hours over allegations of examinations malpractice.
Its alleged that the Inspectorate team in Katakwi moved to Angodingod primary school and cited the pupils possessing foreign materials that were related to UNEB examinations sheets.
Ibrahim Seiga, Regional Police Commander, East Kyoga confirmed that the head teacher together with three invigilators and chief invigilator were arrested and taken to Toroma Police Post before they were taken to Katakwi Central Police for questioning.
He said the three pupils that were taken for questioning in Toroma Police post were later returned to write afternoon paper of mathematics.
Seiga said the police are investigating the matter to establish the actuals.
Julius Okwaput, when contacted for comment over the allegations denied the allegation terming it as rumors peddled by his enemies.
Angodingod is among the best performing schools in Katakwi district and this year, the school registered 291 pupils.
