The Ministry of Finance, Planning and Economic Development has released the first batch of Shs259 Billion for capitalisation of PDM SACCOs in FY 2025/26.
This announcement was made by the Minister for Finance, Matia Kasaija today, Tuesday, November 18, 2025.
Kasaija says beginning Wednesday, 19th November, all the 10,589 verified PDM SACCOs will receive UGX 50 million each directly into their PDM SACCO accounts.
In accordance with the PDM policy, government releases PDM funds in two tranches of Shs50 million for each PDM SACCO every six months.
“The Parish Development Model is no longer a theory, It is a reality. It is in your parishes. It is in your households. PDM is growing bigger, stronger and more impactful,” said Kasaija while releasing the funds at Ministry Headquarters.
Government has so far transferred Shs3.216 trillion directly to 10,589 parishes. Every single parish has now received at least Shs300 million, and 99% of these funds have already been disbursed to 3.27 million Ugandans.
