A tragic incident has unfolded today, Tuesday, 18th November, 2025 at Teso Progressive Secondary School (TEPA) in Ngora District when an armed Military woman reportedly shot and killed a student during an attempted arrest on spot.
The same bullet went through the boy’s head into a teacher’s throat whose identity has not been revealed yet. The teacher was quickly evacuated to Mbale Regional Referral Hospital where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
According to preliminary reports, the armed woman allegedly donning military fatigues and a red cap discharged her firearm after the student allegedly resisted arrest.
Authorities have not yet released the identities of the victims as investigations continue. Police officials say a detailed statement will be issued once inquiries into the shooting are completed.
The incident has sparked shock and concern among students, staff, parents, and the wider community as they await further clarification on the circumstances that led to the fatal shooting.
