Two private guards from Fountain Security are prime suspects in the theft of welding machines, grinders, and wires belonging to Kham Resort, a company dealing in welding and brickmaking.
According to a police statement issued by Rachael Kawala, the KMP Police Spokesperson today, 18th, November, 2025, the incident happened on Monday, 17th November, 2025 at an unspecified time.
She says findings indicate that on 17/11/2025, at an unspecified time, unidentified individuals stole the company’s welding machines, grinders, and wires, and disappeared with them to an unknown destination.
Reports further show that a team of police patrollers intercepted two unidentified suspects in possession of the stolen items, including three welding machines, two grinders, and wires. However, the suspects fled, leaving the stolen property behind, which was subsequently recovered by our officers.
It is suspected that the private security guards may have stolen the company’s items and later abandoned their gun and uniforms in their room at Nkowe Village, Kaliti Parish, Mende Sub County, Wakiso District.
The recovered machines and rifle have been secured as exhibits.
A case of theft has been opened, and efforts are underway to arrest the suspects and bring them to justice.
