The Judicial Service Commission, (JSC) has appointed 5 Deputy Registrars, 6 Chief Magistrates, and 7 Magistrates Grade One.

According to a press statement released by JSC on Friday, 21st November, 2025, the Deputy Registrars are; Kasibayo Kosia, Kabombo Andrew, Kayizzi Ronald, Toloko Simon and Rachael Nakyazze, all formerly Chief Magistrates.
The six Chief Magistrates appointed are; Ainembabazi Doreen, Mwesigye Julius, Ayebare Daphine, Tukundane Patience Lorna, Oroya Conrad Obol and Muhumuza Asuman.
Meanwhile, the seven Magistrates Grade One are; Nanyumba Nicholas, Namugoma Flavia, Chemutai Ceasor, Twesigye Natukunda Phiona, Nakabira Brenda, Akorimo Edina Cox and Khayiyi Joy Janet.
Commenting on the new appointments, the Chief Justice, Hon. Justice Alfonse Dollo-Owiny said the expansion of the judicial workforce is a crucial step towards achieving the Judiciary’s core mission of ensuring timely, efficient and people centered justice.
Meanwhile, the Acting Chief Registrar HW Lamunu Pamella Ochaya welcomed the appointments not that they will expand court coverage, take judicial services closer to the people, and fill critical staffing gaps.
